ORTHOTICS & FOOTWEAR

Nails and skin on the feet can become difficult to self-manage due to issues with mobility or vision. Nails can present as long, distorted, thickened, discoloured and skin can become dry, fissured, callused causing the formation of corns, due to rubbing, friction or excessive pressure on the skin. Podiatrists are highly skilled to treat and advise on all aspects of toenail and foot health

We perform comprehensive biomechanical / MSK assessments to evaluate foot and lower limb function. This helps to identify issues such as gait abnormalities and overpronation which can cause injury or pain. Our aim is to prevent future issues or help with recovery.

We offer the prescription of orthotics and footwear solutions to address gait abnormalities, foot deformities, and enhance overall foot function. We are skilled in conducting thorough assessments to prescribe orthotics and recommend suitable footwear for optimal foot health and comfort.

DIABETIC FOOT HEALTH

Ingrown toenails can cause discomfort and infection if not properly treated. Podiatrists specialise in providing effective ingrown toenail treatments, offering relief and preventing recurrence.

In cases of persistent nail conditions such as ingrown toenails or fungal infections, we provide nail surgery procedures to alleviate pain and resolve the underlying issues. We ensure that nail surgeries are performed with precision and focus on promoting optimal healing.

Individuals with diabetes require specialised foot care to prevent complications and maintain healthy feet. We are trained in diabetic foot assessments, wound care, and education to help diabetic patients manage their foot health and reduce the risk of serious complications.
